Map of District 8District 8 includes the Castro, Noe Valley, Diamond Heights, Glen Park, Corona Heights, Eureka Valley, Dolores Heights, Mission Dolores, Duboce Triangle and Buena Vista Park neighborhoods. (There sure are a lot of heights in that district).

The current incumbent is not running for re-election due to term limits so this is an open seat.

District 6 includes the Tenderloin, Rincon Hill, South of Market, Civic Center, South Beach, Mission Bay, Treasure Island and parts of the Mission and Hayes Valley neighborhoods.

The incumbent supervisor is prohibited by law from running for re-election, so this is an open seat on the Board.

Candidates include Matthew Ashe, H. Brown, Dean Clark, George Davis, Matthew Drake, Glendon “Anna Conda” Hyde, Jane Kim, James Keys, Jim Meko, Fortunate “Nate” Payne, Robert Raeburn, Theresa Sparks, George Vazhappally, Debra Walker, and Elaine Zamora.

Introduction to District 2

District 2 includes the neighborhoods of Cathedral Hill, Cow Hollow, Golden Gate Valley, Jordan Park, the Marina, Pacific Heights, Presidio Heights, Russian Hill, and part of the Richmond District.

The current supervisor is Sup. Michela Alioto-Pier. As of August 10th, 2010, it was unclear whether Sup. Pier would appear as a candidate in the fall election – this information will be updated.

Candidates for this office include Janet Reilly, Mark Farrell, Kat Anderson, Barbara Ann Berwick, Vilma Guinto Peoro, and Abraham Simmons.
